Blessing: Ibn ʿAbbās, quoted in Lisān, says barakah is increase in every good.

وَرَوَى ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: وَمَعْنَى البَرَكة الْكَثْرَةُ فِي كُلِّ خَيْرٍ ، وَقَالَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ: تَبارَكَ تَعَالَى وَتَعَاظَمَ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ الأَنباري: تبارَكَ اللَّهُ أَيْ يُتَبَرَّكُ بِاسْمِهِ فِي كُلِّ أَمْرٍ.
