Names of the prophets
The prophets named in the Qurʾān, peace be upon them all. The Prophet ﷺ named his own son Ibrāhīm (Muslim 2315), and said that people before us “used to name after their prophets and the righteous” (Muslim 2135).
Most prophets’ names are not Arabic. Where scholars gave a meaning we quote them and cite the book; where none is sourced, we leave it blank.
