Ibn al-Qayyim counts the names of angels, such as Jibrīl, Mīkāʾīl and Isrāfīl, among names it is disliked to give people, and reports that Mālik disliked naming a child Jibrīl. He also quotes Qāḍī ʿIyāḍ: some scholars allowed angels’ names, among them al-Ḥārith ibn Miskīn. Ask your imam.
