What the scholars said about this name
Samurah ibn Jundub reports that the Prophet ﷺ told them not to give their servants the names Aflaḥ, Rabāḥ, Yasār and Nāfiʿ (Muslim 2136). Jābir reports that the Prophet ﷺ meant to forbid names such as Yaʿlā, Barakah, Aflaḥ, Yasār and Nāfiʿ, then said nothing more about it, and passed away without forbidding them. ʿUmar later thought of forbidding them, then left it (Muslim 2138).
