What the scholars said about this name
Jābir reports that the Prophet ﷺ meant to forbid names such as Yaʿlā, Barakah, Aflaḥ, Yasār and Nāfiʿ, then said nothing more about it and had not forbidden them when he died; ʿUmar later thought of forbidding them, then left it (Muslim 2138).
